The Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship (FCF) is another aspect of the Royal Rangers ministry to boys that uses the historical context of the pre-1840s fur trade era. Through chapter (district) traces and territorial (regional) and national rendezvous boys and men have the opportunity to participate in camps set in this historical context. FCF also participates in missions efforts through Pathfinders and the Trappers Brigade program.

Wilderness Vigil
The purpose of the Wilderness Vigil is to provide a challenge to FCF members that will help them to develop advanced frontier skills and build a stronger relationship with Christ. Wilderness members become mentors to other FCF members and Royal Rangers who wish to strengthen their skills and become closer to Christ.

2010 Powamu Recap Minimize

This was the first time in many years for Oklahoma’s FCF Indian Nation chapter to host our territory's family Powamu which was held on September 3rd through the 5th. There was a lot of preparation and anticipation for this great event. Even though there was not as many folks gathered as expected we still had a grand time.

There were about 164 folks registered for the event, and 22 showed up just for a day. Men, women and children gathered from all across the territory to join in the fun. There were kid’s games as well as the mountainman games that are normally seen at most rendezvous. The only thing different at this gathering is that everybody got to take part in all the activities.

The first day of the camp (Friday) was spent setting up ye old family lodge. And that evening we all gathered under the big shelter for a time of praise and worship. The guest speaker was Robert Jimenez.

Saturday was the start of the events. Archery, hawk and knife throw, flint and steel and black powder shooting. The games were a 4 person team event consisting of a father, mother and 2 children.

That evening we all gathered for a dessert auction all the funds raised went to missions. After the auction there was some praise and worship and a word from God delivered from Paul Stanek who was our guest speaker.

Sunday we finished up the events and that evening passed out the prizes to the winners.

It was a great camp. If you weren’t there you missed out on a great time. God blessed the camp with some wonderful weather. A big thank you to all who made this camp a great success.

God bless you all 'till we meet again.
